Hemorrhoids are a common ailment. About half of all adults, by age 50, experience the discomfort caused by hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoids are swollen and inflamed veins in the anus and lower rectum caused by straining at stools, increased pressure during pregnancy, and other causes. Witch Hazel– has strong astringent, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties which can help soothe, shrink and contract blood vessels, tighten pores and reduce inflammation.
Aloe Vera– is renowned for its soothing, rejuvenating and healing properties.
Lavender– is a natural antiseptic, pain relieving analgesic, anti-inflammatory, calmative and anti-infectious essential oil. As a restorative it promotes healing of the skin by stimulating the cells, causing them to regenerate more quickly.
Myrtle– is an antiseptic, calmative, serves as a tonic and has an astringent quality.
Blue Cypress– stimulates circulation, is anti-bacterial, is an astringent with powerful anti-inflammatory properties, yielding a strong cooling effect.
Blue Tansy– holds marked anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties which help reduce swelling. Its antihistamine ability reduces itching.
